Platform/Publisher Relations Development Manager

We are seeking a creative and solutions-oriented Business Development Manager to further develop our relationship and business with new and existing streaming platform partners while working closely with those partners to create innovative ways for them to enhance their ad sales offerings.

The Platform/Publisher Business Development  Manager (“BD Manager”) role reports to the Vice President of Sales and you’ll be responsible for both growing existing business at current partners while identifying new partner opportunities. A successful BD Manager must have a clear understanding of the CTV ad sales market and the partner’s long term objectives.  You’ll work closely with our Operations and Design teams to identify opportunities for growth at our platform partners.


OVERVIEW:

The specialist will drive efforts to expand and grow BrightLine's footprint within the sales organizations of multiple CTV/Streaming partners. You’ll do this by creating and building relationships at all levels of the partners including sales, marketing, planning and operations. You will need to evangelize the BL product offerings, speak to its technical capabilities, develop proactive creative solutions for your clients, and become an expert in educating clients about our evolving industry. We are looking for ad tech industry exposure/experience, with ad sales expertise and proven new business development experience.

You will need to be organized and disciplined to work in a remote setting. You will need to be self-directed in identifying opportunities, maintaining a high level of communication within each partner’s organization, and keeping the BrightLine Sales team well informed of initiatives at each platform. You will work with the CRO on contract renewals and identifying  new opportunities for further development at our partners.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • As a streaming platform subject matter expert you will work to grow the business between our partners and our sales team

  • Identify areas for growth and further development at each partner

  • Establish a clear and updated roster of all relevant decision makers at each platform and maintain a high level of communication with them

  • Be knowledgeable on all ad products being deployed by each platform and position BrightLine as the clear choice for advanced advertising solutions

  • Understand the ad tech space and how BrightLine fits within it: agencies, ad servers, publishers, advertisers, and media planners

  • Communicate BrightLine’s value proposition, technology, processes, partnerships to prospects and other industry participants

  • Partner with the national sales team to identify ways to grow business at each platform

  • Develop proactive solutions for new targets and repeat clients, with a strong understanding of the technology suite and capabilities

  • Actively participate in the advertising sales industry on behalf of BrightLine to build the brand and connections: trade shows and other events, in person and online.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • 5+ years experience in streaming/online/digital/video advertising

  • Have a full understanding of the CTV/Streaming Media landscape

  • Strong self-discipline to manage time effectively in a remote setting

  • Have a collaborative mindset to help bolster a deeper partnership with each platform

  • Experience in the competitive landscape, with knowledge of rich media advertising business.

  • Proficient in using virtual communication tools (Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Webex, Slack, etc.)

  • Excellent sales skills including the ability to create and build relationships, internally and externally

  • A proven existing network of established relationships that can be leveraged from day 1

  • Focus on achieving key performance indicators (KPIs) and sales metrics

  • Exceptional strategic thinking on behalf of clients needs

  • Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects, tasks and responsibilities concurrently; ability to consistently set and meet deadlines

  • Intellectually curious and creative

  • Professional, outgoing, confident with sound written and presentation skills

  • Strong follow through skills and ability to continue relationships through the lifetime of the client

  • A sense of urgency and commitment to push hard when the time comes

Compensation at BrightLine varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific location, role, skill set, and level of experience. Base salary range for this position is $125k - $150k, in addition to quarterly commissions based upon sales growth at the individual partner platforms.
