Account Executive - Programmatic

We are seeking a creative and solutions-oriented Programmatic Account Executive to further extend our dynamic advertising solutions to the programmatic marketplace across agencies, clients and our platform partners.
The Programmatic Account Executive (“AE”) role reports to the Vice President of Sales. You’ll be responsible for both growing existing business and closing new programmatic advertising revenue from agencies and brands. A successful AE must have a clear understanding of the client’s long-term business objectives and seek partnership opportunities to further grow the client’s business with BrightLine while working with numerous DSP and SSP partners. You’ll work closely with our National Account Executives to identify relevant and strategic ways for clients to enhance their campaigns programmatically.
OVERVIEW:
The AE will drive efforts to expand and grow BrightLine's roster of clients using our engaging formats. You’ll do this by creating and building relationships at all levels in companies that advertise on CTV. You will need to introduce, explain and demo BrightLine ad products into the programmatic marketplace: evangelize the product, speak to its technical capabilities, develop proactive creative solutions for your clients, and become an expert in educating clients about our evolving industry.
We are looking for ad tech industry exposure/experience, with programmatic subject matter expertise with proven new business development experience and the contacts and ability to convince potential clients to try a new product.
We’ll look for you to prove that you have experience selling as a consultative partner who can communicate the value proposition of advanced TV advertising to key decision makers at advertisers and agencies.
You will need to be organized and disciplined to work in a remote setting. You will need to be self-directed in identifying opportunities, building a pipeline, and executing the full sales life cycle, from the initial outreach, through the signing of the contract, and sourcing renewal business. That will include identifying and engaging new prospects, understanding client needs, developing proposals, working with product and business development leads, technical product demonstrations, and closing deals in tandem with our media partners.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a subject matter expert, lead programmatic sales efforts for the BrightLine Sales team, driving and supporting PMP and PG sales initiatives
Create and execute a plan to hit revenue goal on a quarterly and yearly basis
Have strong active programmatic relationships with clients and agencies at all levels within the territory including DSP and SSP partners
Understand the ad tech space and how BrightLine fits within it: agencies, ad servers, publishers, advertisers, and media planners
Communicate BrightLine’s value proposition, technology, processes, partnerships to prospects and other industry participants
Partner with the national sales team to expand the overall private marketplace business, providing support for programmatic RFP responses, client calls, and delivering insights and analysis as needed
Identify opportunities in the open exchanges to convert into PMP/PG campaigns
Leverage external relationships and personal network to generate sales leads within assigned territory
Develop proactive solutions for new targets and repeat clients, with a strong understanding of the technology suite and capabilities
Drive all phases of the sales lifecycle: identify and develop leads; qualify the leads; understand client needs; meet with clients; develop the value proposition; structure deals; negotiate deal points; negotiate contracts; and close.
Ensures all targeted prospect/client contacts and engagement opportunities are recorded in Boostr, our sales management system
Actively participate in the advertising sales industry on behalf of BrightLine to build the brand and connections: trade shows and other events, in person and online.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree
5+ years experience in streaming/online/digital/video advertising with specific hands on keyboard programmatic experience
Agency and/or DSP/SSP experience a plus
Have a full understanding of the CTV/Streaming Media landscape
Strong self-discipline to manage time effectively in a remote setting
Has the “hunter” mentality with the demonstrated ability to inspire this competency in others
Experience in the competitive landscape, with knowledge of rich media advertising business.
Proficient in using virtual communication tools (Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Webex, Slack, etc.)
Excellent sales skills including the ability to create and build relationships, internally and externally
A proven existing network of established relationships that can be leveraged from day 1
Focus on achieving key performance indicators (KPIs) and sales metrics
Exceptional strategic thinking on behalf of clients needs
Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects, tasks and responsibilities concurrently; ability to consistently set and meet deadlines
Intellectually curious and creative
Professional, outgoing, confident with sound written and presentation skills
Strong follow through skills and ability to continue relationships through the lifetime of the client

Compensation at BrightLine varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific location, role, skill set, and level of experience. Base salary range for this position is $100k - $125k, in addition to quarterly commissions based upon sales.
